UPE Welcomes 20+ New Members in Fall 2025

Allegheny’s chapter of Upsilon Pi Epsilon — the international honor society for computing disciplines — had a landmark fall semester, inducting more than 20 new members across two ceremonies.

Initiation Ceremony

On August 27, 2025, the chapter welcomed its newest class in a formal initiation ceremony. Dr. Geoffrey Draper, representing UPE’s national organization, attended to mark the occasion.

Pinning Ceremony

A follow-up pinning ceremony on October 8, 2025 brought members together to receive certificates, pins, and commemorative sweatshirts — a tradition that celebrates their commitment to academic excellence in computing.
