Aidan Dyga '26 Heads to Microsoft After Standout Career at Allegheny

Aidan Dyga ‘26 graduated with a degree in computer science and a minor in economics and is heading to Microsoft’s Pittsburgh office as a full-time software engineer — capping off a college career that also earned him the 2026 President’s Athletic Conference Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year award as a member of the men’s soccer team.

Dyga completed a software engineering internship at Microsoft in 2025 and credits hands-on coursework, including Professor Gregory Kapfhammer’s software engineering course, with shaping his approach to the field. “Seek out coding projects that genuinely interest you and involve collaboration,” he says. “When you care about what you’re building, you’ll work harder and learn more.”
