ACM Hosts Ready Player One Movie Night

The Allegheny ACM student chapter brought students together for a screening of Ready Player One at Vukovich Hall Theatre — one of a series of social and technical events the chapter ran this fall to build community across the department.

ACM This Semester

The chapter’s mission is to make technology “approachable, exciting, and boundary-free” for every student, regardless of background or experience level. Alongside the movie night, ACM ran an SOS event at the start of the semester to help students get their laptops set up for introductory CS courses, and is planning an Afternoon of Code mini-hackathon where students will build websites for campus clubs.

Get Involved

ACM meets regularly in Alden Hall and welcomes students from all majors. Alumni interested in mentoring or judging at upcoming events can sign up via the Alumni Volunteer Form. Sponsorship inquiries can be directed to cis@allegheny.edu.
