Software Development Intern

Internship Description

Acutec Continuous Improvement seeks an intern with experience in software design, programming and debugging. The intern will gain exciting real-world software development experience at a thriving manufacturing company.

We frequently work as a team to solve problems, explore new technologies, and learn from one another. The ideal intern for this environment will be enthusiastic and collaborative.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, debug, and extend software systems
• Respond to and resolve user-submitted problems and questions
• Collaborate with multiple teams within the company
• Maintain version control and internal documentation

Qualifications/Skills:

• Understanding of programming and software development
• Track record of successful software development
• Ability to write clean, correct, well-documented code
• Excellent complex problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Working knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
• Solid troubleshooting and communication skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Working towards bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Experience with software development in a team-based environment
• Experience programming in C#, or Java
• Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS
• Excellent analytical and mathematics skills
• Ability to work well in teams
