'Gator Days' Open House, Oct. 23

On Tuesday, October 23, the Department of Computer Science will hold its first Gator Days Open House from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in room 101 Alden Hall. We are pleased to have Phil Burdette (class of '09) as our guest. Phil is a Malware Intel Analyst at Verizon Terremark and has had extensive experience as a security professional. He'll be sharing some of the work he is doing and talk about the world of computer security. Phil is also happy to meet with individuals, conduct "mock interviews," and discuss graduate school and career choices.

During the rest of the day, the first floor of Alden Hall will feature displays of "PostScript" art from CMPSC 390: Visual Computing; experimental results on YouTube and Twitter from CMPSC 441: Distributed Computing; short descriptions of this year's senior project proposals; and a display about "Computers and Origami," complete with paper for you to try your own hand at folding.

See the poster at the Department's Gator Day page.
