Abstract

The annual SIGGRAPH conference and exhibition is the premiere showcase for new developments in the theory and practice of computer graphics. In this talk we will sample a few of the papers presented at this year's SIGGRAPH conference, with particular attention to three of them:

  • solid textures -- generating three-dimensional structures like
  • wood grains from wo-dimensional samples
  • creating responsive game characters from motion capture fragments
  • generating mazes from images
